According to the Pierce County any changes to the schedule will be cost neutral or will reduce the overall cost of service. An example that has been shared is to stop the 5:45am Saturday run in exchange for a later evening run on Saturdays.

Pierce County published a letter with the scheduled meeting times and locations. You can read the letter by following this link

The proposed changes have been proposed directly from feedback given during the May 2012 ferry survey conducted by Pierce County Ferry Committee and the Pierce County Airport and Ferry Division Staff. Expected implementation will be in January of 2013.

Now would be a good time to attend one of the meetings and learn about the changes that will be happening to the ferry service for Anderson Island. Making sure your voice is heard is the important thing.
